Conference was Held on Building Shenzhen as International Finance City and Shenzhen Human Resource Strategy

On 19th, Dec 2009, the conference about building Shenzhen as international finance city and Shenzhen human resource strategy was successfully held at InterContinental hotel Shenzhen. It was co-hosted by Peking University HSBC School of business and Shenzhen government finance office. Vice mayor Yingchun Chen, vice president of Peking University Wen Hai, prestigious economist Gang Fan and other executives of financial institutes attended the conference.

 

This conference aimed at building the mode of international finance city in according to the development of Shenzhen and the system of training financially talented people through the discussion among financial institutes, program offices and professional HR organizations. At the meantime, it intended to establish an effective communication mechanism among Shenzhen government, industry and the academic circle in order to offer intellectual support for building Shenzhen as international finance city.

 

Experts and professionals gave excellent speeches and pointed out problems existed on current financial environment and financial talented people shortage. Constructive suggestions were proposed on how to improve the professional competence of existing financial people.

 

Vice president of Peking University Wen Hai further added that Shenzhen was at the stage of industrial transformation, with the total financial capital reached 3.5 trillion in the first half year of 2009. Financial industry plays a more important role in Shenzhen and hence more quality financial people are needed. Peking University HSBC School of Business will continually cultivate advanced economic and financial people for Shenzhen and the whole China.

 

Vice mayor Yingchun Chen said this conference was with practical meaning and it proposed concrete issues of Shenzhen. To build Shenzhen an international finance city depends highly on its people. Shenzhen government looks forward to cooperating with Peking University HSBC School of Business through integrating resources, in order to cultivate advanced professionals for financial institutes.
