Upon arriving at PHBS, the students attended a seminar hosted by PHBS associate Professor Tu Zhiyong,  which focused on analyzing the current situation of China’s economy. Tu briefed the students on the general development of China’s economy and then applied some classical economic models to interpret the uniqueness of China’s economy from different perspectives.  In his Q&A, he and the students exchanged views on the economic difficulties facing both China and South Korea.

During the break, SKKU students were invited to visit the financial lab, lecture hall and alumni donation wall, etc. All of them marveled at the modern design and advanced facilities of PHBS, including PHBS’s own financial lab.

Shortly after the break, Yang Hongmei, general manager of New China Life Insurance Co., Ltd (Shenzhen) and a 2014 EMBA student, provided a lecture on the insurance market in China. Yang started by introducing the general situation of China’s life insurance market, including the distribution of the main market, the regulation system and main insurance products. It was followed by an analysis of the insurance market from the perspective of national strategy, market demand, and future development. In the end, she shared her expectations about the insurance market in China. Since most of the students had experience in South Korea’s insurance industry, they held a long discussion on the issues related to the insurance market in both China and South Korea.
