The Programme

Students may apply for CJBS GEMBA + PHBS MCS or CJBS GEMBA + PHBS CCS. Students should apply separately to each school. Students should submit application materials for GEMBA to CJBS and submit application materials for MCS or CCS to PHBS

Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) was founded in 2004 with the vision to advance Peking University’s involvement in global economics, finance, and management research. Located in Shenzhen, PHBS brings Peking University’s historical presence and first-tier business education programs to the country’s south and benefits from the dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit of the thriving city.

PHBS currently offers a doctoral program, specialized master’s programs, an MBA program, an executive MBA program, and numerous executive development programs. With internationalization as its goal, PHBS has been accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EFMD, and taken a bold step by opening a new campus in Oxfordshire, England.

As the most internationalized China-national business school, PHBS offers about 130 graduate level business courses per year, taught in English. 80 full-time international and Chinese faculty have earned their PhDs from top institutions. All of your classmates, 95% of whom are Chinese nationals, are fluent in English and have graduated from the top universities in China. As such, students can take advantage of our highly internationalized campus.

PHBS MCS Program

Application Period From October 11, 2021 to April 30, 2022. Please make sure mailed materials arrive before May 9th,2022.

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying to Peking University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2016, along with proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.

Applicants for Master's programs must have attained a bachelor's degree and students who graduated from non-Chinese universities must hold a bachelor's degree from a university accredited by the Ministry of Education of China. Grade skipping or joining in the middle of the course is not acceptable.

Applicants must have proof of English proficiency with a satisfactory TOEFL (90 and above) or IELTS (6.5 and above) score, unless you are a native English speaker.

Applicants must have relative working experience. For the joint program with Cambridge University Judge Business School, applicants must have at least 7 years full time work experience. Applicants with previous experience in entrepreneur management for 2 years or more are preferred.

CJBS GEMBA Program

The Cambridge Executive MBA is a rigorous academic programme. Applicants must be able to manage the demanding workload.

7 years’ full-time experience, including strong management experience, before starting the programme in September.

Notarized copies of diploma in English (graduating students shall present letter of certification for graduation);

First or 2:1 Bachelor’s degree, or international equivalent.

If you meet our academic requirement and feel the skills covered by the GMAT/Executive Assessment (EA) can be demonstrated by your work experience, you may complete the GMAT/EA waiver on the application.

GMAT/EA waivers can only be granted by the relevant admissions authority after interview. If your degree does not meet our minimum requirements, you will need to take the GMAT or EA, more details are below.

A professional and a peer reference.

You must be a national of a List A country, hold a three-year university degree completed in a List A country within the last two years, or have an IELTS or TOEFL score that meets our requirements listed below.

Fees

Tuition for Master’s degree programme of China Studies for Economics and Management is 95,000RMB per year (190,000RMB total). Other Fees: Students are responsible for other types of fees. These fees include (but not limited to) the followings Travel to and from Shenzhen for all sessions at HSBC Business School Accommodation for all sessions at the School Domestic Travel within different cities in China Fees for visa and residence permit
