Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) strives to attract outstanding students who are `interested in studying in China, demonstrate strong academic and professional potential, and have a passion for their chosen field of study.
To support these students on their educational journey, PHBS offers a variety of financing options for both domestic and international students, including school-funded scholarships and Chinese government grants.
Each year, Peking University HSBC Business School awards school-funded scholarships to selected Master's program applicants. Recipients are chosen based on a variety of factors, the most significant being the applicant's academic performance. PHBS allocates a substantial grant annually for student scholarships, a portion of which is awarded to outstanding international candidates.
For international students in the MA program, there are three award levels:
Full tuition scholarship
Half tuition scholarship.
Freshman Special Scholarship.
At the end of each academic year, the status of these scholarships is evaluated based on student performance at PHBS. It is important to note, however, that the school-sponsored scholarships are not contingent on Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant positions (For MA programs only). While Master's degree students are encouraged to participate in on-campus activities and internships, their involvement does not affect scholarship status. In this regard, PHBS is committed to providing no-strings-attached funding for its Master's candidates.
To apply for this scholarship, please download the application form here and submit it along with your application documents.
Since 1999, the International Students Academic Award has been awarded by Peking University to international students at PKU who demonstrate academic excellence and strong integrity.

International applicants can also apply for grants offered by the Chinese government. Each year the China Scholarship Council (CSC) provides funding to thousands of international students pursuing education in China. While the CSC scholarship may not fully cover tuition costs at PHBS, it significantly helps reduce the financial burden of relocating to China to study, covering living expenses.
Currently, the following scholarship opportunities are available:
Chinese Government Scholarship
ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship
Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government
