The HSBC Financial Research Institute at Peking University
The HSBC Financial Research Institute at Peking University (abbreviated to HFRI) was founded in December 2008. HFRI receives the support from HSBC Charity Foundation, and is endeavored to facilitate the communication among financial academic research, financial markets, financial institution supervision, and financial policy decisions. Based in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, HFRI provides an open financial communication platform with a global perspective. Via the interaction between financial teaching and research, HFRI edits and publishes professional journals, releases professional academic reports, holds professional lectures, organizes cutting-edge academic conferences. Meanwhile, HFRI tries to provide intellectual support for regional financial development and national financial decision-making, and strives to become a professional financial think tank focusing on the forefront of the market.
 
Professor Hai Wen, Vice Chairman of Peking University Council and Founding Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School, serves as the Director of HFRI. The Executive Director is Professor BaShusong,Chief Economist of the China Banking Association and Vice President of the China Society of Macroeconomics.
