POSITIONS:
Tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Journalism and Communication.
Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Journalism and Communication at all ranks. The successful candidate will teach graduate or undergraduate level courses in Journalism, Communication and related fields, conduct research, and supervise graduate students. Salary is highly competitive and is in accordance with applicants’ qualifications and experiences.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree or expect to receive one in Communication or an equivalent field before July 2022.
Junior candidates must demonstrate high potential in research, teaching, and service.
Senior candidates must have an excellent track record of accomplishments in research, teaching, and service.
The ideal candidate would use computational social science methods to investigate current media practice for strategic purposes. Possible research areas could include but are not limited to business communication, media algorithm and biases, collective intelligence, human-machine communication (or human-computer interaction), etc.
Candidates who have experience or a strong interest in teaching programming and data analytics courses at the graduate level are highly encouraged to apply.
