Two Week Summer Experience Course
The School
Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) is a world-class business school that is devoted to delivering top quality and international-standard education. Since its establishment it has maintained an international focus, with English-taught programs, international and internationally educated faculty, and a growing international student body.
The City
Shenzhen is China's first Special Economic Zone, established in 1979. Located next to Hong Kong, it is a center of innovation and entrepreneurship, and is home to the largest number of Chinese private firms, such as Tencent, Huawei, ZTE and BYD. Each month, Shenzhen sees an average of 40,000 new companies and over 1,000 new patents, and it is a home to 8,000 VCs.
The Course

This undergraduate course will give insight into China’s remarkable economic transition
over the past 40 years since the reform and opening up policy began. This course highlights the drastic development, innovation and entrepreneurship that has been seen in China, primarily that which is seen in Shenzhen and the greater Pearl River Delta area. Students will gain a glimpse into China’s biggest innovative companies, as well as learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and begin a start-up in today’s China.

Local excursions
The Cost
Program Fee: 2300 USD
Exchange Partners Fee: 1900 USD
Fee includes tuition fee, program costs, accommodation (single-occupancy hotel room) and some meals.
Fee does not include local cultural excursion gate fee, flight to and from China, visas or other personal expenses.
