PHBS Students Won the 1st Prize of Debate Contest Held by HKU

On 12th March 2011, 6 students from 2010 class at PHBS won the first prize in the debate competition organized by Hong Kong University HKUEFPA Association.

 

The debate topic is “Is Chinese Economy an unstable bubble?” PHBS students played as the opposition side with the topic “Chinese Economy is not a bubble.” To support their opinion, our students demonstrated from the aspects of economy, politics and culture. In terms of Economy, Chinese GDP growth rate, inflation rate and CPI are in effective control; while in terms of politics, Chinese government is controlling its overheated economy and has achieved remarkable result; still, in aspect of culture, national residents are very confident about Chinese economy.

 

This debate competition effectively enhanced communication and cooperation between PKU and HKU. PHBS students impressed HKU students with their fluent English, solid logic and vigorous thinking. Meanwhile, our students are also deeply impressed by their grace and talent.
