The first Board Meeting of HSBC Business School in year 2011 was held at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. Bijuan Huang, Executive director of HSBC Bank(China), Paul Featherstone, real estate director of Asia-Pacific region, Professor Wen Hai, Vica Chancellor of Peking University, Chancellor of Shenzhen Graduate School and Dean of HSBC Business School, Ya Deng, Assistant Chancellor of Peking University, and General Secretary of Education Fund as well as Yonghong Zhang, Vincent Chang and Wei Wei all attended this meeting.

Professor Hai started the first session of the meeting. The meeting passed the resolutions made by the 5th Board Meeting held in April 2010. The Financial Committee, Development Committee, Construction Committee and Academic Committee all reported to the Board Meeting. Ya Deng presented the utilization of the donation from HSBC bank. Vica chancellor of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School Yonghong Zhang presented the progress of business school’s new building. Vincent Chang, Associate Dean of PHBS, reported to the Board Meeting on PHBS’ status, including faculty recruitment, new students admission, the placement situation of year 2010 and 2011 students, as well as accreditation progress. Professor Hai reported the work of HSBC Financial Research Center.

The second part Dund was hosted by Bijuan Huang, the Executive Director of HSBC Bank(China). The board members discussed the issues regarding the future development of PHBS and HSBC Financial Research Center, as well as the remaining donation.
