The popularity of Halloween is growing exponentially, students on campus worldwide will be dressing up this week, engaging in any number of "tricks" to celebrate it with pumpkins, costumes and candies. This year, Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) held its Shanghai alumni gathering for full-time program graduates on the Halloween night in Shanghai. PHBS Dean Wen Hai , PHBS Shanghai alumni and some staff attended the event. It's not just an event for fun, but more importantly, an opportunity to enhance alumni relations and know about the school's development.

In his welcoming remarks, Dean Hai cited PHBS’s achievements during 2017 in research, academic activity, the growing interest in international exchange, student development and the increasing support of the alumni association. For instance, PHBS has taken a bold step to open an overseas campus in Boars Hill, England.

Dean Hai also talked about PHBS employment situation, saying that PHBS 2017 graduates stand out in a fiercely-competitive job market with a majority of the graduates working in leading finance and management consulting companies. "Our goal is to make better achievements every year, and let alumni be proud of their identities as PHBSers, " remarked Dean Hai, adding that the three main features, "internationalization",“comprehensiveness” and "strictness" , distinguish PHBS from other business schools.
The following student entertainment featured choruses, dance performances, poem reading and so on. During the tea break, alumni dressed up in costumes recalled the "good old days" at PHBS, shared their working stories and expressed best wishes for each other.
