PHSB international student admission for 2010 will begin in the middle of September for applicants to the Master’s Degree programs in economics, finance and management. These master's degree programs focus on a core curriculum in economic theory and applications. This is a full-time two year program, especially designed for international students. All courses are taught in English and no Mandarin is required for international students.
This program aims to educate a group of graduate students who are equipped with solid theoretical knowledge of economics, able to carry out research and analysis independently with a good command of the practical economic issues. The program also enables students to pursue the PhD degree or further research in economics.
Founded in 2004 as Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School of Business, we were renamed Peking University HSBC School of Business (PHSB) in August of 2008. Located in the thriving entrepreneurial city of Shenzhen, and adjacent to the financial hub of HK, the business school lies at the very heart of one of the world’s most promising metropolitan areas.
At present, the HSB has 19 full-time professors, all of whom have earned their PhD degrees at world class universities. This core faculty is augmented by over 20 professors from both Hong Kong University and the Beijing campus of Peking University, who visit the Shenzhen campus on a regular basis. In acknowledgement of the importance of English in today’s business world, one of the principal criteria for a student being accepted to the school is his or her proficiency in the English language. HSB provides students with a full English language teaching environment.
International applicants are welcome to make inquires by post letters, e-mails, or telephone.
