On October 17th, 2012, the new Class of 2012 participated in a class outing to Xichong Beach. The event was a means of bonding the new students and creating a sense of community between students, staff, faculty, and administration.
The day’s activities included a sandcastle competition, tug-of-war, a volleyball match, and swimming. Once students and teachers alike had tired themselves out, the group moved to the barbeque pits for dinner. The evening concluded with singing and dancing performances from students and staff. Before boarding the buses back to campus, students gathered into groups and released sky lanterns over the coastline. It was a memorable trip, and one in which students got the chance to develop bonds which stay with their throughout their time at PHBS.
