In this talk, I focus on the social uses and consequences of online media. I employ the concept of the networked self to explain how we may use technology to reimagine ourselves, our lives and our aspirations. In the end, technologies network us, but it is our stories that connect us, identify us, and potentially drive us apart. Understanding how we socialize online can help us find ways to turn space into places that bear the potential to drive connection, expression, and inspiration.
