The intended study shall explore the incorporation of Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Banking on a global scale, depending on the development stage of the society. 4 countries within different segments of the UN Human Development Index (HDI)3 were chosen to conduct an empirical study: Ghana (HDI Rank 138), China (HDI Rank 91), Argentina (HDI Rank 49) and Germany (HDI Rank 6).
