Cowan Research LC developed Eventus software for financial research, education, and consulting. Eventus makes use of resources from databases such as CRSP, offering an event-oriented, fast data search by applying advanced event research. Eventus can be used on Windows operating systems with SAS, and it needs to be used on the WRDS platform.

Usage:

Eventus can only be operated on the WRDS Platform, so please follow the steps above to apply for a WRDS account.

You must apply for an account before using WRDS:

1) Visit http://wrds-web.wharton.upenn.edu

2) Click on the "Register" button or register for a WRDS Account

3) Finish the application form

4) After approval of your application, you will get an email with specific guidance on how to set your WRDS account

5) Log in to WRDS

6) Read WRDS Terms of Use

7) Use WRDS
