Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to enhance students’ understanding about the cultural and ethical issues in conducting business in a world characterized by the globalization, technology innovation, and changes in societal expectations; develop students’ ability of resolving real time problems via critical thinking, rational analysis, and summaries with balanced views; and foster a new generation of business leaders with stronger business ethics and morals, who understand the importance of considerations by business of the requirements of diverse sets of its stakeholders including employees, customers, government, social organizations, and environments, in addition to the stock shareholders.

Notes:
1. Attendance policy: The maximum number of excused or unexcused absences is 2. If you are absent 3 times there will be penalty on your participation score. Lateness counts for ? an absence.
 
2. Makeup examinations are permitted only in extreme and unusual circumstances. Such circumstances must be documented, with the instructor determining the appropriateness of the request.
 
3. Cheating and plagiarism are forbidden and will result in a grade of zero on the exam or assignment in question with no option for makeups or extra credit assignments. A second occurrence of cheating or plagiarism will result in a grade of “F” for the semester. 
 
4. Avoid discussion when the instructor is talking. Violation could lead to negative score for class participation.
 
5. If you have questions or problems, you may see me during office hours or by an appointment.
 
6. Assignments, announcements and communications will be assigned or communicated in class or via emails/web sites. 
 
7. The schedule may be adjusted by instructor if needed.
