From January 2 to 7, 2009, Professor Wen Hai, Vice president of Peking University and Dean of Peking University HSBC School of Business, attended the Annual Meeting of American Economic Association in San Francisco, during which he also took part in a series of activities to promote the understanding of Chinese economic situation for overseas Chinese as well as the influence of Peking University in California.

On the evening of January 5, Vice president Wen Hai was interviewed on “Talk Tonight” , one of the most popular interview programs of KTSF 26 Chinese TV Station. He shared his views on Financial Crisis and economic situation in China.

On the evening of January 6, Vice president Wen Hai had a meeting with some alumni of Peking University Alumni Association of Northern California. He introduced the development of Peking University and economic situation in China.

His visit in California received attentions of the local Chinese media, like Sing Tao Daily, Qiaobao, World Journal and other papers which reported his interviews and speeches.
