Following the 2008’s graduates with an average annual salary of RMB185,000, the 2009’s graduates of PHSB entered the job market with a gratifying result again. In 2009, PHSB, in cooperation with Hong Kong University, offers our graduates two master's degrees (Economics and Finance (HKU), Management). For an faculty established for only five years, It’s of some reasons that PHSB’s graduates were so popular in high-end employing units:(1) benefit from first-class international institute of training modes and (2) advanced concepts as well as contents-sound employment guidance job.

From 2005, our dual Masters went to HKU to listen to the professional career development courses, which make them take the lead in accepting the world-class university career planning guidance; in June, 2008, PHSB set up a career development center with full-time teachers responsible for our students; meanwhile, Hai Wen Career Development Fund was established by Prof. Hai Wen, vice president of PKU, and some alumni; the fund aimed to help PHSB’s students solve some problems about career development and provide them with the necessary guidance and fund; this measure of PHSB set a precedent for domestic business schools.

PHSB's career guidance paid great attention to the actual ability. Firstly, cultivate job quality; it provided counseling and training on workplace etiquette, business knowledge, and business ethics in addition to professional courses. Secondly, create the workplace atmosphere; it often organized students to visit different enterprises, which make them feel the workplace atmosphere directly and learn more about the industry characteristics. Thirdly, hold employment-oriented activities, such as SHL written tests, assessment center, interview and resume skills training, and inviting human resources staff in enterprises or those in the industry to conduct mock interviews and other activities for our students. Fourthly, serve to direct employment, such as the collection of on the dynamics information of industry Recruit, organizing campus job fairs, and maintaining good relations with major companies as well as signing internship base agreement with them. At present, PHSB's career guidance has been formed into a complete workflow which consisted of pre-employment job guidance, employment guidance and post-employment guidance to enable students to be more competitive in the job market.
