On 21th September, PHBS held its new building's Roof-sealing Ceremony. Professor Wen Hai, Vice President of Peking University and Dean of PHBS, Associate Dean of PHBS professor Vincent Chang and professor Wei Wei, the guests of Tsinghua University Shenzhen graduate school and Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen graduate school as well as PHBS 2011 new students attended this ceremony.

 

PHBS was established in 2004, since then, the number of students has climbed from 63 to 632 in seven years. PHBS currently has 38 international students and 37 full-time faculty, with 50% from abroad. Furthermore, the international accreditation of PHBS has witnessed a number of breakthroughs. On 15th September, the EFMD Annual General Assembly voted to declare that Peking University HSBC Business School entered the EPAS accreditation process for the Master of Economics program, and officially granted PHBS EPAS accreditation. The AACSB accreditation (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is also in the process of continious improvement.

 

This new building locates to the west of University Town Library. It is a multi-functional landmark building including classrooms, faculty and staff offices and public facilities. It is also the largest building of business school in the world in terms of construction area.

 

PHBS will take this new building as an opportunity to further its commitment of becoming a first-class business school in the world, and contributing to the cultivating of business leaders for China and the world.
