The Enterprises Development Institute (EDI) at HSBC Business School of Peking University is dedicated to fostering frontier research on enterprises in the Chinese emerging economy and serving as an educational platform for business practitioners and students. In the past decades, China’s phenomenal economic development has gained major momentum from the growth of business enterprises. Located at Shenzhen, a major economic hub filled with entrepreneurial and innovative spirits, EDI’s primary research focus is on the development of various types of business enterprises and the building of facilitative institutional, legal and financial environments in China. EDI pursues its research and educational mission by integrating intellectual resources from academia, business and the public sector across the region, the nation and the globe. EDI is led by Professor Ting Ren, associate dean of Peking University HSBC Business School.
