Peking University Research Center for Macroeconomics and Finance

Peking University Research Center for Macroeconomics and Finance (RCMF), is an academic research institute officially approved by Peking University, affiliated to Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS).

Focusing on the application of artificial intelligence and big data in the analysis of forecasting economics and finance, RCMF will conduct frontier innovative research projects in macroeconomics, international trade, quantitative finance, market investment and other fields by using structural macroeconometrics. RCMF will dedicate to promote the construction of China's modern macroeconomic control system and financial system. Meanwhile, RCMF will also focus on school-enterprise cooperation and think-tank construction to provide forward-looking research and policy advices to government agencies, financial institutions and enterprises with an international perspective.

RCMF’s Director is Professor Hai Wen, Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School; and the Chief Adviser is Professor Thomas Sargent, the 2011 Nobel laureate in Economics. Besides, RCMF consists of PHBS professors in related fields as well as senior researchers from Ping An Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., who will collaboratively conduct multi-dimensional research projects from different perspectives.
