The talk addresses the role of algorithms and AI for Health Communication in algorithmically curated environments, and will present an argument stressing the significance of recognizing the nested structure of their impact on societies, accompanied by specific challenges. The second part of the talk, will outline how these algorithmic challenges can be overcome in the future, drawing on several empirical studies as evidence for the presented rationale. The talk will provide ample opportunity for discussing research ideas, exploring study designs, and exchanging ideas on this topic.
